Dave is a born and bred Lutonian and has lived there his entire life, it has been said that he moved to his current house just to be nearer the English Rose - now there's dedication to real ale!
Dave is a long-standing supporter of real ale having joined CAMRA in 1976, not long after it was formed. In fact, so dedicated is Dave to the cause that since September 1977 he has actually held every committee position in the South Bedfordshire branch at some time - with the one exception of being the chairman which he says is not for him.
He particularly likes his ales crisp and hoppy. He's a keen follower of cricket and F1 motor racing favouring any team who beats Ferrari.
