BRANCH REPRESENTATIVES

The people in these 'Branch Representative' pages form part of the current South Bedfordshire CAMRA Branch Committee.

Please feel free to email any of us or approach us if you see us in your pub. Landlords, you can always try a bribe of good ale/cider for that extra bit of publicity!

Profile:

Born: 1986 in Dunstable

Joined CAMRA: Recently, compared to the rest of the committee!

Home: Westoning

Occupation: Internet marketing / web design

Favourite local pubs:Globe, Dunstable; Stone Jug, Clophill; Compasses, Greenfield; Oddfellows Arms, Toddington; plus many others!

Favourite Ales: Very difficult to pick a favourite. In summer I favour light, hoppy beers and tend to stick to stouts and porters in the winter. As for particular beers, there are far too many to even begin choosing a shortlist!

I was converted to real ale at the age of twenty when a friend of mine from Yorkshire came to visit and suggested we try a few pubs in Dunstable that we hadn't been to before. First on the list was The Globe. We never made it to the second.

As well as promoting real ale to young people in South Bedfordshire as the current Branch Young Members' Contact, I am also responsible for liasing with the local media on pub and beer-related subjects as Branch Press Officer. In 2009, I also became Regional Young Members' Contact for East Anglia, overseeing the Young Members' representation in each of the branches in our region.
